1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in via Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google OAuth. We do not store your Google password. You may also optionally provide your city and date of birth in your profile settings.

Financial data you enter: Any figures you type into our calculators (SIP amounts, loan values, income, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser and are not sent to our servers unless you are signed in and choose to save a calculation. Saved calculations are stored in your account only.

Usage data: We collect anonymised, aggregated usage information including pages visited, device type, browser, and approximate geographic region via Google Analytics. This data cannot identify you personally.

Cookies: We use strictly necessary session cookies (Firebase Authentication), analytics cookies (Google Analytics, opt-out available), and advertising cookies (Google AdSense, opt-out available at adssettings.google.com).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the calculator, course, and guide features of the platform.
• To personalise your experience if you create an account (saved calculations, progress).
• To improve the platform through anonymised usage analytics.
• To display relevant advertisements via Google AdSense (revenue funds the free service).
• To send essential service communications such as password reset emails.
• To comply with legal obligations if required by applicable law.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your financial data to target advertisements.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your account and saved data are stored in Google Firebase Firestore, hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Firestore Security Rules ensure each user can only read and write their own data. No other user or anonymous visitor can access your information.

Our web application is served over HTTPS exclusively. We do not store payment card data as Finuraa does not process payments.

While we take reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to sign out of shared devices.

Strictly necessary cookies are used for Firebase Authentication sessions. These cannot be disabled without breaking sign-in functionality.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) collect anonymised data about how visitors use our site: pages visited, session duration, and device type. You can opt out via Google Analytics Opt-Out or your browser’s cookie settings.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense) may personalise ads based on your interests. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.

• Access: You can view all data stored in your account from the Settings page.
• Correction: You can update your profile and financial data at any time from Settings.
• Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings. This is irreversible.
• Data portability: You can export your saved data from Settings at any time.
• Withdraw consent: You can stop using the service at any time. Disable analytics or advertising cookies via your browser settings.
• Complaints: If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly, you may raise a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children’s Privacy

Finuraa is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Finuraa serves users in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Your data may be stored and processed in any country where Google Cloud infrastructure operates. By using the service, you consent to the transfer of your data to countries outside your jurisdiction, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated via a notice on the platform. Continued use of Finuraa after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
